Role: Senior PHP Developer
Location: Morelia, Michoacán, Mexico (On-site)
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior PHP/Symfony Developer who also possesses strong Business Analysis capabilities. This role requires a dynamic individual who can efficiently manage backend development while working closely with clients to understand and translate business needs into functional and technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with client stakeholders to gather requirements, define scope, and clarify business objectives.
- Act as a liaison between business users and the technical team to ensure alignment.
- Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications and development tasks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day technical and functional issues raised by the client.
- Perform code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, security, and best practices.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and product planning.
- Support and contribute to Pimcore-based projects and learn the platform deeply as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 15+ years of professional experience in software development.
- Strong expertise in PHP and Symfony framework.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst or in a client-facing role.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience working with databases like MySQL
- Familiarity with REST APIs, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
- Must be located near Morelia, Michoacán, Mexico.
Additional Skills:
- Pimcore experience and knowledge would be plus
