Job Description:
We are seeking a PL/SQL Database Support Engineer to provide production support for Oracle-based applications. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL and PL/SQL expertise, experience troubleshooting production issues, and the ability to analyze logs, debug problems, and support mission-critical systems.
Responsibilities:
- Provide production support for Oracle database applications.
- Troubleshoot application and database issues using SQL, PL/SQL, and log analysis.
- Investigate production incidents and perform root cause analysis.
- Develop and maintain PL/SQL procedures, packages, and functions.
- Support system integrations, APIs, and data flows.
- Work with development and infrastructure teams to resolve issues.
- Manage support tickets using JIRA.
- Participate in deployments and post-release validation.
Requirements:
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
- Experience supporting production environments.
- Ability to troubleshoot database and application issues.
- Experience with log analysis and debugging.
- Understanding of APIs and system integrations.
- Familiarity with JIRA or similar ticketing tools.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Nice to Have
- Shell scripting or Java.
- Experience supporting utility or energy industry applications.
- Exposure to cloud platforms, monitoring tools, or automation.
