Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Platform/DevOps Engineer with a strong background in AWS DevOps and Python scripting. The ideal candidate will have 5 7 years of experience in managing cloud infrastructure and automating deployment processes. This role requires a proactive individual who can work collaboratively within a team to enhance our platform's reliability and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes.
- Utilize Python scripting to automate tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate new features and enhancements.
- Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Document processes, configurations, and workflows for future reference.
- Participate in on call rotations to support production systems.
Mandatory Skills:
- Proven experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.).
- Strong proficiency in DevOps practices and tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, etc.).
- Expertise in Python scripting for automation and system integration.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts and security protocols.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, ELK Stack, Prometheus, etc.).
- Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and practices.
- Experience with database management and optimization (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).
- Certifications in AWS (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5 7 years of relevant experience in a DevOps or Platform Engineering role.
- Strong problem solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing technologies and learn new skills quickly.
