We’re looking for a Principal Platform Engineer who combines Java mastery with deep expertise in the distributed storage infrastructure that enterprise platforms are built on. You’ve designed systems where replication and consensus aren’t abstractions but engineering realities you’ve had to get right under pressure, and you’ve led that work across teams. You’ll be setting the technical foundation for a data management platform trusted by some of the world’s largest organizations — defining how the platform scales, how it stays reliable, and how it evolves.
What You’ll Do
Define and own the technical architecture of Java-based distributed storage platform infrastructure.
Lead the design of replication, consistency, and fault-tolerance systems that underpin enterprise data management.
Apply deep expertise in consensus protocols (RAFT, Paxos, Ratis) to platform-level distributed coordination challenges.
Drive platform engineering standards and architectural decisions across multiple engineering teams.
Act as a senior technical advisor to leadership on platform architecture, roadmap, and strategic trade-offs.
Develop staff and senior engineers through mentorship and hands‑on architectural collaboration.
What We Are Looking For
10+ years of experience in IT roles.
5+ years of experience with Java as a primary language in platform or distributed systems engineering.
Expert knowledge of distributed storage architecture and large-scale platform infrastructure design.
Deep, production-proven experience with consensus protocols such as RAFT, Paxos, or Apache Ratis.
Strong background in replication mechanisms and high-availability platform design at enterprise scale.
Track record of cross-team technical leadership and organizational influence at a Principal level.
Advanced proficiency in English.
