Platform Engineer (Python)

Job Title: Platform Engineer (Python)
Location: Reston, VA (Onsite)
Employment Type: Contract (W2)

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer / Platform Engineer with strong expertise in Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) and cloud platform engineering. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing and administering Informatica Cloud environments, automating infrastructure, and supporting enterprise-scale data platforms.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong hands-on experience with Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) and Self-Service Workbench
• Experience developing solutions and setting up Informatica Cloud environments
• Proficiency in Python and Unix Shell Scripting
• Experience automating infrastructure provisioning and operational tasks using: Terraform, GitLab, Ansible, Python
• Strong knowledge of AWS services including: EC2, SSM, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, Lambda
• Experience troubleshooting and supporting production environments in a 24x7 support model
• Excellent communication, time management, and technical presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Apache Spark, Amazon EMR/Hadoop, PySpark, and AWS Glue
• Experience creating and managing Terraform Modules
• Prior experience supporting enterprise cloud data platforms

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain data engineering and platform solutions on AWS
• Implement and administer Informatica IDMC environments
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and operational workflows
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and support production systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure platform reliability and scalability
• Participate in on-call and production support activities as required
