Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Platform Software Engineer (Java) to design, develop, and support scalable, cloud-native enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java 11/17, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Microservices, AWS Cloud, Kubernetes, and Event-Driven Architecture.
This role requires hands-on experience building distributed systems, optimizing application performance, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and developing highly available cloud-native solutions. Candidates with previous Apple project experience (minimum 4 years) will be given strong preference.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-native applications using Java 11/17, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
- Develop enterprise-grade Microservices and RESTful APIs.
- Design and implement distributed systems with high availability, scalability, and fault tolerance.
- Build and deploy applications on AWS Cloud using services such as:
- EKS
- Lambda
- Step Functions
- EC2
- S3
- API Gateway
- IAM
- CloudWatch
- Develop event-driven applications using Apache Kafka.
- Containerize applications using Docker and deploy on Kubernetes (EKS).
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform.
- Optimize Java applications through JVM tuning, multithreading, and concurrent programming.
- Implement enterprise search capabilities using OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, Apache Solr, and Lucene.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Maven, and Gradle.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production systems using Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, and OpenTelemetry.
- Collaborate with architects, product managers, DevOps, and QA teams to deliver high-quality software.
- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architecture decisions.
- Follow secure coding standards and software engineering best practices.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of software development experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on Java development experience.
- Strong experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Microservices, and REST APIs.
- Experience designing and developing distributed, cloud-native enterprise applications.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS Cloud.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform.
- Strong knowledge of Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with enterprise search technologies such as OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, Solr, or Lucene.
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.
