Job Summary:

The MS Power Platform Developer will design and develop scalable, secure applications and portals using Microsoft Power Platform technologies including PowerApps, Power Pages, and Dataverse. The role focuses on creating a centralized solution for data collection, management, and reporting to support internal staff and external stakeholders. The developer will also automate user authentication processes and provide training to business users to ensure effective adoption of the platform.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop scalable applications using Microsoft Power Apps (Canvas, Pages, and Model-Driven Apps).
  • Build and configure secure, user-friendly portals using Power Pages or Canvas for both internal and external users.
  • Develop and manage data models within Microsoft Dataverse for structured data collection.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database structures to support reporting and integrations.
  • Implement role-based access control and data security best practices.
  • Perform testing, debugging, and performance tuning of applications.
  • Maintain documentation for system architecture, data models, and processes.
  • Implement SQL database connectors within Dataverse to enable PowerApps to query SQL databases and automate user verification.
  • Deliver training to business users on application usage and processes.
Required Skills & Certifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience in MS Power Platform development and implementation.
  • Proficiency with PowerApps, Power Pages, and Microsoft Dataverse.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL database structures and query optimization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Effective time management and task prioritization abilities.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
  • Experience with public health data systems or similar structured data environments.
  • Familiarity with role-based access control implementation in cloud platforms.
  • Experience delivering end-user training and documentation.
Special Considerations:
  • Strict adherence to data security and user authentication protocols.
  • Ability to manage sensitive data with confidentiality.
Scheduling:
  • Regular shift from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST.
  • Position duration is 12+ months with potential for extension.
  • Location: Raleigh, NC.
