Precision Projectiles Development Execution Program Manager

The Projectiles Portfolio is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as the Precision Projectiles Development Execution Program Manager for the Excalibur Hit to Kill (HTK) and Extended Range Artillery Projectile (ERAP) programs. Both HTK (XM1180) and ERAP (XM1230) programs are part of the Excalibur Weapon System designed to further extend the range and seeker capability of 155mm artillery projectiles. You will be responsible for all aspects of business performance and program execution to include cost, schedule, technical performance and customer satisfaction. You will also develop & integrate the range extension and seeker solutions in concert with existing projectile efforts.

What You Will Do

  • Assist with program integration, coordination, and direct engagement with the program team and functional partners, in pursuit of day-to-day program execution
  • Responsible for meeting contractual commitments including financial, technical, and schedule performance of assigned program(s) within contractual boundaries and company expectations
  • Develop, inform and achieve AOP and LRP goals and objectives
  • Interface with US Army Government Leaders to develop and influence program priorities, execution, and funding strategies
  • Lead proposal and associated capture and startup activities
  • Collaborate with Financial Planning to ensure Top-level Master Phasing and the Integrated Master Schedules meet program strategies, objectives, and milestones
  • Set budgetary guidelines and directs the performance of program task elements for IPTs/CPTs
  • Lead the program risk and opportunity process, in accordance with specific financial goals and obligations
  • Participate in internal reviews and executive briefings pertaining to all pursuits to include, Gates, EACs, contract proposals, negotiation and definitization, and contract closeout efforts
  • Expected to support domestic and international travel as needed

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
  • Experience developing and reviewing cost proposals
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Experience with technical, cost, and schedule requirements

Qualifications We Prefer

  • In-depth knowledge of projectile weapon systems and army production and development programs
  • Working knowledge of contract formation, execution, and management.
  • Proficiency with program management tools
  • Demonstrated ability to advise and influence functional leaders, business development, global supply chain and internal program leaders to secure the necessary financial (IR&D, Capital) & staffing resources
  • Program Management Certification or ability to obtain; track record in successfully leading IR&D, NBI and/or customer funded programs/projects

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
