Experience and Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in engineering/technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
2 to 4 years in Manufacturing Engineering role in CNC operations, Swiss lathes operation experience is a must.
Track record of success operating and troubleshooting CNC equipment and developing manufacturing tooling
Capacity Planning and Capital equipment design and procurement
Understanding of materials, mechanics and production manufacturing processes and CNC machining.
Highly literate and numerate, able to investigate problems and analyze data.
Advanced Microsoft Office
Extremely organized, ability to prioritize workload.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Lead Manufacturing Operators-Technicians in the creation of CNC programs.
- Lead training curriculum and team development for the CNC processes.
- Plan time studies and standard work design, capacity analysis, facility layout, tooling design, equipment procurement.
- Create and maintain manufacturing process documentation (manufacturing instructions, methods and routings) for new and existing products in accordance with relevant engineering drawings and standards.
- Conduct engineering investigations supporting rapid problem solving of quality escapes and implementation of corrective actions.
- Support New Product Introductions, Product Modification requests in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner.
- Identify manufacturing bottlenecks and quality issues and plan solutions to methods and routes.
- Identify and implement cost savings, production and process improvements through a process of continuous improvement based on Lean Manufacturing principles and techniques.
- Lead cross-functional teams developing and improving manufacturing process across overall Operations using Lean techniques.
- Lead manufacturing process and product costings activities.
- Actively engage with the New Product Design Team providing manufacturing and technical expertise on project development (defining tooling fixturing and programming needs).
- Create and execute continuous improvement projects to improve production processes, equipment, and tooling.
- Participate in and lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives with the Tool room and overall Operations ( Kaizen & 5S Events)
- Collaborate with engineers, manufacturing team members, designers, suppliers, tool builders, and associates to support new product launches and to support special and custom product requests.
