Process Engineer (Dry Electrode)

Teverola, Italy

We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer specializing in Dry Electrode to join our client, an established Battery company in Italy. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and improving lithium-ion battery electrode manufacturing processes.

• Develop, optimize, and stabilize electrode manufacturing processes
• Manage process parameters
• Analyze process variation and improve process capability (Cp, Cpk)
• Troubleshoot process and equipment issues to minimize downtime and improve yield
• Analyze process data and identify opportunities for process improvement
• Support process validation, qualification, and scale‑up activities
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and manufacturing standards
• Assist in developing and maintaining SOPs, work instructions, PFMEA and process documentation
• Participate in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to achieve production and quality targets
• Define and maintain process specifications and control plans
• Perform root cause analysis
• Lead equipment commissioning and qualification
• Work with Quality, Production and R&D teams
• Manage data analysis for process correlation

• 3+ years' experience in lithium‑ion battery electrode manufacturing
• Experience with process improvement tools: SPC, DOE, FMEA
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or Battery‑related fields
• Strong problem‑solving capability
• Experience in lithium‑ion battery mass production environment
• Knowledge of PFMEA, 6 Sigma, SPC, 8D problem solving, Lean Manufacturing
• Good communication skills in English
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment
• Experience in battery Gigafactory ramp‑up (preferred)
• Experience with battery manufacturing projects (preferred)
• AutoCAD, 3D modeling (preferred)
