Job Purpose

Provide world‑class quality and manufacturing engineering technical support to manufacturing areas and product launch activities that meet or exceed customer expectations. Responsible for implementing appropriate actions to maintain and improve manufacturing processes in accordance with safety, quality, productivity, cost, and environmental requirements.


Key Responsibilities
  • Comply with company safety policies and ensure timely closure of unsafe condition findings, as well as proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Report environmental or safety risks to the EHS&S department.
  • Participate in accident/incident investigations when required.
  • Promote environmental awareness and safety standards according to established systems.
  • Respond to audit non-conformities and, when applicable, take action to control and correct them, including mitigating adverse environmental impacts.
  • Execute the Emergency Response Plan correctly according to procedures.
  • Identify and implement improvements with manufacturing teams to reduce product cost, improve quality, and maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure maximum safety, quality, capacity, and utilization of manufacturing/processing equipment and processes, including special processes (painting, heat treatment, welding, etc., depending on the assigned area).
  • Continuously research and implement best practices in manufacturing/processing methods and processes.
  • Be responsible for new product introduction and current product modifications.
  • Communicate with vendors to determine product specifications, coordinate procurement of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluate products against specifications and quality standards.
  • Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, workflow, and design equipment layouts and workspace for maximum efficiency.
  • Participate in product design reviews and contribute Design for Manufacturing (DFM) ideas and lessons learned.
  • Ensure effective quality control and process systems are developed, implemented, and maintained.
  • Determine, justify, and coordinate the purchase and implementation of new equipment and processes with manufacturing teams; track tooling and AR expenditures.
  • Assist in the design and construction of manufacturing/assembly/processing equipment and processes.
  • Solve problems using robust methodologies such as 8D, PDCA, 5 Whys, and statistical problem‑solving techniques.
  • Support diagnostics, maintenance, repairs, calibrations, and required operating procedures.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to customers, employees, and all levels of management.
  • Coordinate and manage external contractor projects.
  • Implement action plans for quality issues and warranty reduction projects.
  • Participate in APQP documentation development according to AIAG standards; develop and maintain updated process documentation (FMEA, flow diagrams, process sheets, tool lists, drawings, instructions, LOTO, etc.).
  • Implement action plans from statistical process control and Kaizen workshops.
  • Close actions from the Continuous Improvement Ideas System.
  • Ensure implementation of FMEA actions.
  • Use a teamwork approach to achieve objectives (CPK, OEE, FTQ, quality incidents, etc.), with emphasis on production teams.
  • Provide technical leadership, training, and support to manufacturing teams and peers.
  • Collaborate with Technical Centers to develop new technologies and products.
  • Participate in prototype development and assembly with Engineering, including prototype control plans and work instructions.
  • Coordinate with machine subcontractors to ensure personnel safety during industrialization and initial sample production.
  • Be responsible for applicable processes.
  • Actively participate in the Annual Physical Inventory.

What We’re Looking For
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Manufacturing preferred)
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of related work experience in the automotive industry or a global manufacturing company
  • Technical Knowledge Required: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality systems, program management, experience applying Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques, experience in high‑volume automated manufacturing is a plus
  • Other Requirements: Microsoft Office, core tools, CAD software, 2D drawing knowledge
  • English Level: Proficient
  • Visa Sponsorship: Applicants must be currently authorized to work on a full‑time basis in the country where the position is based.
