Production /Labor Roofing Materials
We are seeking a dedicated Production Operator to join our team in a fast-paced process environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating machinery to manufacture roofing materials from raw materials, ensuring quality control throughout the production process, and preparing products for shipping.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate machinery to produce roofing materials, following all safety and operational protocols.
- Manage the flow of raw materials through the production line, including loading and unloading products.
- Apply chemicals as required during the production process while adhering to safety guidelines.
- Monitor production processes to prevent defects, ensuring only quality products are entered into stock.
- Accurately record measurements, calculations, and other relevant information on batch sheets and supplementary forms.
- Conduct regular equipment checks and maintenance to ensure smooth operation.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and maintain a safe working environment.
- Utilize a tow motor as needed to transport materials and products within the facility.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
- Familiarity with chemical handling and safety protocols.
- Ability to operate machinery and perform routine maintenance.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
- Basic math skills for accurate recording of measurements and calculations.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Working Conditions:
- Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and chemicals.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Compliance with safety regulations and practices is mandatory.
