Summary
The Clark County District Attorney's Office is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Process Server position. This position may be assigned to either the Family Support Division or the Criminal Division. The ideal candidate is a dependable and professional individual who will support the Office by serving legal documents, including child support enforcement notices, criminal subpoenas, and civil process, in accordance with Nevada law and established procedures. Duties include locating individuals for service, conducting routine investigations to obtain pertinent information, maintaining accurate, detailed service records, and ensuring timely completion of assignments. The successful candidate will exercise sound judgment, work independently with minimal supervision, and interact professionally and respectfully with the public, law enforcement agencies, attorneys, and court personnel while handling sensitive and confidential information in a variety of legal matters.This examination will establish an Open Competitive Eligibility list to fill current and/or future vacancies that may occur within the next six (6) months or may be extended as needed by Human Resources.

Some positions may be used to fill term Limited-Permanent positions. The selected candidates will be hired for a special project or duties of a limited duration and be required to sign a term of employment letter specifying condition and exact dates of employment. The selected candidates will be eligible for benefits during the duration of employment.Examples of duties
Education and Experience: Equivalent to graduation from high school AND one (1) year of full-time experience in public safety, security or working in a legal setting. Experience in law enforcement is desirable. Professional level experience and/or education that has provided the skills and knowledge necessary to perform all job functions at this level may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
