Responsibilities
- Follow and train job manufacturing guidelines, ensuring process meets standards
- Ensure effective employee relations by providing support, coaching employees, and motivating the team
- Resolve employee issues through listening and problem resolution
- Balance quality, quantity, and productivity to achieve positive results in safety and employee morale
- Work with other supervisors and managers in cross‑training of all departments
- Manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provide regular reports to the manager
- Provide day‑to‑day coaching and leadership to line leads and workers
- Maintain good housekeeping in all departments at all times
- Assist in all departments as needed and perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of direct experience in a similar position
- Good supervisory and communication skills; familiarity with personal computers and material handling equipment essential; strong decision‑making and coaching skills; able to drive results; working knowledge of any Warehouse Management System
- Flexible, problem‑solver, sense of urgency, quick thinker, “street‑smart,” organized
- Must be capable of sitting, standing, walking for extended periods; must be able to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level, and crouch frequently; must use proper lifting techniques; familiarity with MHE required; must handle stress and meet deadlines with tight scheduling; must shift priorities easily
- Must have excellent work habits; must pass a background check; must be a good communicator, especially with laborers; must be licensed to drive forklifts; bi‑lingual ability a plus
