We are seeking an experienced Product Engineer with strong Python expertise to build, operate, and continuously improve reliable, scalable SaaS products. This role combines backend development with production engineering, incident management, platform reliability, and engineering ownership.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python and Flask.
  • Debug and resolve production issues across applications, databases, infrastructure, APIs, and third-party integrations under time-sensitive situations.
  • Optimize database performance through query tuning, index design, replication diagnostics, lock contention analysis, deadlock resolution, and performance troubleshooting.
  • Diagnose system and infrastructure issues involving memory, CPU, disk I/O, networking, and AWS environments.
  • Perform production diagnostics using logs (CloudWatch, ELK, Datadog, grep/awk), metrics, dashboards, and structured Root Cause Analysis (RCA) with detailed postmortems.
  • Own production incidents by assessing severity (P1/P2/P3), driving mitigation through rollbacks, feature flags, or hotfixes, communicating effectively with stakeholders, and participating in on-call rotations.
  • Troubleshoot multi-tenant SaaS issues by identifying tenant-specific versus platform-wide problems while improving scalability and reliability.
  • Improve engineering processes through CI/CD optimization, release management, Jira workflow ownership, automation of repetitive operational tasks, and engineering best practices.
  • Identify recurring production patterns, reduce technical debt, recommend architectural improvements, and contribute to long-term platform stability.
  • Collaborate across Engineering, QA, Product, and Customer Success teams while mentoring engineers, prioritizing effectively under ambiguity, and demonstrating end-to-end ownership of customer-impacting issues.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5–9 years of backend, product, or platform engineering experience.
  • Strong expertise in Python and Flask
  • Deep understanding of SQL, PostgreSQL/MySQL, query optimization, indexing, replication, locking, deadlocks, and database diagnostics.
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems, distributed systems, networking, cloud infrastructure (AWS), and API integrations.
  • Experience with observability tools such as CloudWatch, ELK, Datadog, and production monitoring practices.
  • Hands-on experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, release management, automation, and Jira.
  • Excellent debugging, incident management, root cause analysis, and production troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience supporting multi-tenant SaaS applications in production environments.
  • Strong communication, mentoring, prioritization, analytical thinking, and ownership mindset with the ability to translate technical issues into business impact and drive platform improvements.
