Program Analyst

Major duties and responsibilities include:

  • Performing program cost analyses such as maintaining records of fee basing services.
  • Performing cost benefit and/or economic evaluations of programs and processes.
  • Performing cost effectiveness studies by collecting data and making computations.
  • Planning, designing, analyzing, and submitting action plan proposals to supervisory and upper management within the service line.
  • Developing procedures and systems for establishing, operating, and assessing the effectiveness of administrative control systems or operating programs.
  • Evaluating results of audits/inspections and forwards action items to supervisory or upper management within the service line.
  • Ensuring analysis, data collections, reports, and presentations are completed using a strong knowledge and use of various software programs including but not limited to: VISTA, CPRS, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet downloads, and other programs as necessary.
  • Analyzing and evaluating, on a quantitative or qualitative basis, the effectiveness of programs or operations in meeting established goals and objectives.
  • Analyzing and summarizing information for the supervisory and upper management staff, providing information on past and current processes and programs.
  • Managing and/or acts as a liaison or handles the communication with persons and/or groups within and outside of the organization at the local and VISN levels.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule: Monday- Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm
