Reports To: Adult Day Support ManagerJob Type: Full-Time, Non-ExemptWork Schedule: 7:30am-3:30pm, or based on the needs of the DivisionPosition Summary:The Adult Day Support Program Assistant provides direct support to adult participants with disabilities, assisting with daily living activities facilitating recreational activities (both in the facility and in the community), and ensuring a safe environmentEssential Functions:Perform all delegated nursing services as outlined in the individuals task analysisProvide assistance with meals and personal careEngage members in community activities and volunteeringResponsible for completing all paperwork due on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basisResponsible for following all programs as outlined in the members ISP and Behavior Management PlanEnsure the health and safety of all membersProvide ongoing input for the development of the ISPAttend all meetings as scheduled by the ADS Manager or Director of OperationsProvide transportation for members, to and from the agencyMaintain transportation documents including scheduling maintenance and pre-trip inspectionsIf necessary, fill in as an alternate at various worksites or other divisionsUphold the rights, dignity and respect of all membersOther duties as requiredExperience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferredCompassionate, patient, and dependableAbility to follow support plans and communicate clearly with team membersAbility to maintain confidentiality and professional boundariesMust be at least 18 years oldValid drivers license and reliable transportation preferredAbility to pass background checks and required screeningsMust remain in compliance with all regulatory standards governing program services, including appropriate trainingsMust have or obtain First Aid/CPR/AED training certificationMust be able to read, write, and understand EnglishMust be able to lift at least 50lbs on a regular basisMust have the ability to be flexible with schedule, if neededMust be willing to intervene and physically assist with program members as necessary to care for, move, lift, and restrain behaviors that may be injurious to self or others
