Thrive Wellness Program Assistant

The Program Assistant provides clerical and program support to Thrive Wellness Program and the Food Pantry in our Center for Supportive Services. The Program Assistant will assist patients in the THRIVE program with their needs, and will help THRIVE Wellness staff facilitate educational and supportive sessions in line with program goals. The Program Assistant will also help the Pantry Coordinator with bagging groceries, disseminating groceries to patients, performing pantry intakes, and organizing inventory and documentation. The Program Assistant performs data entry, front desk support, and administrative support to the department.
As part of the essential functions of the role, the Program Assistant:
Qualified Candidate will have an Associate's degree in Health and Wellness, Human Services, or related field and one (1) year of experience, preferably in a non profit setting, or an equivalent combination of training and experience; candidate must be able to communicate clearly and professionally in writing and verbally, and demonstrate ability to work independently and exercise effective time-management skills; candidate must demonstrate familiarity with computers and MS Office software (Outlook, Word), effective organizational skills and attention to detail; Ability to maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) in a confidential manner required; awareness of and sensitivity to the issues and health disparities faced by underserved populations is essential
