Program Assistant
This is a part-time, temporary role through September 30, 2026 at minimum. Location: in-person at JVS & House of Possibilities Brockton 142 Cresent St, Brockton, MA.

Position Summary:
The temporary Program Assistant plays a key support role for JVS' innovative and successful refugee and immigrant services within the English 2 Employment (E2E) Program based out of our Brockton office. As a frontline staff receiving and supporting new clients and regularly interacting with partners and the public, this position requires strong attention to detail and follow-through, as well as outstanding customer service skills. Strong organizational skills, excellent computer skills and good communication skills are critical to success.
The English to Employment (E2E) program provides vocational ESOL classes and career coaching to immigrants and refugees seeking new or better employment and career advancement. The Program Assistant is responsible for supporting the members of the E2E Programs as they deliver ESOL classes and coaching. They will welcome direct visitors and guests including potential new clients and staff from partner organizations, facilitate screening and onboarding activities for E2E applicants, provide direct services to clients as needed including creating preliminary employment plans with accepted clients; and provide other administrative and direct supports for day-to-day operations and program success.
The Program Assistant is an active member of the Refugee Services Division, thereby equitably contributing to team performance goals. They are also part of a larger JVS team based on Brockton and Boston, all of whom are supporting the education, training, and employment needs of clients and partners.

Education Required:
Associate's Degree or, High school diploma and 2 years directly related experience
Working Conditions:
Frequent meetings with clients, partners, and colleagues. May attend occasional off-site meetings with partner organizations in and around the Brockton area.

$26 - $27 an hour 14-21 hours per week
