Overview
Reporting to the Department Manager, the Program Associate will play a critical role in supporting multiple laboratory and project courses within the Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering. The Program Associate will provide comprehensive administrative support for course administration activities, teaching assistant organization and management, provides onQ support including the setup and management of student teams and groups, and administrative support for assessments. Administrative support for capstone design courses, including working with external clients is a key task included in this role. The Program Associate will identify opportunities for continuous improvement to improve work efficiencies and outcomes.
This position acts as a point of contact and disseminates course-related information to departmental program assistants, instructors, teaching assistants and students. This position supports course content improvement and assists in the development or revision of course material. This position provides course administration support which includes workflow, course enrollments, room booking, scheduling activities, recordkeeping, and grade recording. This position provides advice to students on academic program planning. This position also directs, allocates and supervises the work of other staff.
