Operations Program Coordinator for the Client Program
The Operations Program Coordinator for the Client Program will be responsible for assisting departmental leadership with developing and implementing strategic plans and operational initiatives for the client program. Liaising with internal stakeholders, client program leaders, and external partners, including the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI), to support organizational priorities and advance laboratory quality and performance initiatives. Supporting laboratory quality improvement programs, standards implementation efforts, accreditation readiness activities, and compliance initiatives in collaboration with CLSI and other strategic partners. Coordinating the development, execution, and monitoring of projects related to laboratory operations, quality systems, process improvement, workforce development, and best practice adoption. Tracking and maintaining program contracts, vendor relationships, budgets, and project deliverables. Managing multiple projects simultaneously, including prioritizing tasks, developing and maintaining timelines, monitoring milestones, and mitigating risks. Developing and delivering written and verbal communications regarding program activities, laboratory quality initiatives, project updates, and organizational outcomes through meetings, presentations, and written correspondence. Managing and supporting meetings, workshops, training programs, conferences, and other events, both virtual and in person. Developing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), quality metrics, program outcomes, and operational dashboards while providing data analysis and recommendations for continuous improvement. Preparing reports, presentations, and supporting documentation related to laboratory quality, accreditation efforts, program performance, and client initiatives. Making recommendations for program and process improvements by identifying opportunities to strengthen project management, quality management systems, operational workflows, and risk mitigation strategies. Supporting implementation of CLSI standards, laboratory best practices, quality management frameworks, and accreditation requirements across client programs. Ensuring alignment with departmental, institutional, regulatory, and laboratory quality standards and practices.
Skills and Abilities Ability to plan and coordinate multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of healthcare, laboratory operations, quality management systems, accreditation standards, or regulatory compliance preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop presentations, reports, and training materials. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret quality, operational, and performance data and provide actionable recommendations. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, external partners, and multidisciplinary teams. Experience managing business relationships and cross-functional initiatives. Effective organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing responsibilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including the ability to create reports, presentations, dashboards, and project documentation. Experience with project tracking and collaboration tools such as SharePoint, Smartsheet, ServiceNow, or similar platforms preferred. Flexibility in schedule to accommodate meetings across multiple time zones when necessary. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and continuous improvement. Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams. Familiarity with CLSI standards, laboratory accreditation processes, CAP, CLIA, ISO, or other quality frameworks is preferred. Fluency in a second language is a plus.
