Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Program Coordinator to manage, plan, and oversee various programs and events within the Bhartiya Jain Sanghatana. The ideal candidate will have experience in program management, excellent communication skills, and a passion for working within the community to facilitate impactful initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Planning & Coordination:
- Design, plan, and coordinate community programs, events, and initiatives aligned with the mission of Bhartiya Jain Sanghatana.
- Manage multiple programs simultaneously, ensuring timelines, budgets, and resources are effectively utilized.
- Collaborate with internal teams, volunteers, and community leaders to ensure smooth execution of programs.
- Team Collaboration:
- Supervise and guide volunteers and other team members in executing program activities.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (logistics, communications, finance) to ensure successful program delivery.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with community members, donors, partners, and stakeholders.
- Ensure strong community involvement and participation in the programs.
- Event Management:
- Organize and oversee events, ensuring that all logistical aspects (venue, materials, etc.) are taken care of.
- Manage event registration, follow-ups, and post-event feedback.
- Monitoring & Reporting:
- Track program progress and outcomes, providing reports to senior management on program impact.
- Evaluate program effectiveness and suggest improvements.
- Administrative Duties:
- Maintain program-related documentation, including budgets, schedules, and reports.
- Ensure that all program activities comply with the organization's policies and guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, Management, or related fields.
- 3-5 years of experience in program coordination or a similar role, preferably in non-profit or community-focused organizations.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage several projects at once.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate effectively with diverse groups.
- Experience in managing budgets, preparing reports, and monitoring program outcomes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other project management tools
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge or interest in Jain philosophy, culture, and community practices is a plus.
- Event management experience is highly desirable.
- Fluency in Hindi, Marathi, or other regional languages is advantageous.
