Program Coordinator

General Summary:
The Program Coordinator manages, coordinates, and oversees different programs and projects. Coordinates team meetings with staff and create personal and service plans for each consumer and guardian.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring consumer and guardian participation in development of service plan and personal futures plan
- Scheduling and chairing screening for program vacancies and developing waiting list for potential consumer vacancies
- Developing and implementing service plan within 30 days of moving in, annually, when significant changes occur, and when moving out
- Monitoring/implementing/supervising delivery of service plans and personal futures plan and training of staff
- Ensuring all written training programs are implemented and revised as needed
- Demonstrating knowledge of contractual, legal, and regulatory requirements
- Monitoring to ensure all service sites deliver services in accordance with contractual, legal, and regulatory requirements and implementing/coordinating any necessary plans of correction from a regulatory body
- Facilitating 1:1 interactions with peers, superiors, and subordinates and fostering team spirit and company pride among team members and agency
- Being aware of quality indicators and achieving results
- Using leadership and communication skills to motivate team members toward agency objectives
- Documenting consumer progress or regression. Initiating discharge planning if appropriate. Maintaining records appropriately
- Maintaining fiscal spending within limits of approved budget (e.g. household expenses and repairs, vehicle expenses, personnel costs, consultant services, etc.)
- Monitoring workers' compensation and unemployment claims for assigned service site(s). Proactively working to reduce claims and minimize risk/exposure of agency
- Monitoring all consumer finance documentation
- Implementing/monitoring compliance with the company's Health and Safety programs
- Attending industry functions to promote positive relationships with other providers
- Developing positive relationships with all funding sources to promote new business
- Utilizing problem solving/mediation skills when employee to employee conflicts arise
- Monitoring exit interview results and investigating areas of concern that may be identified through this process
- Managing budgeted staff hours to provide effective and efficient service delivery
- Implementing staff recruitment and retention programs to promote positive work environment
- Overseeing/participating in the hiring process of all assigned positions in accordance with the company's policy and local, state, and federal employment law
- Actively working toward achieving/maintaining Affirmative Action goals within assigned service site(s)
- Ensuring all assigned staff receive training and supervision as needed to meet performance expectations
- Recognizing staff with Pro team, performance management evaluations, individual development goals, etc.
- Ensuring assigned staff is evaluated fairly and timely in accordance with the company's performance evaluation procedures
- Ensuring that all information from upper management is conveyed to employees as applicable and appropriate
- Ensuring that all job opportunity listings are shared with employees
- Maintaining and/or monitoring training reports to ensure timely training of staff for all assigned service sites
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Education: BA/BS in Business, Health Care Administration, or Social Services.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent and three years of related job experience may be substituted per area regulations. Exceptions must have written approval from Regional Management
- Experience: A minimum of two years of verifiable work experience providing services and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities. One year previous supervisory experience preferred
- Experience in managing systems, processes, and people.
- License/Certification: Valid driver's license, (in most cases)
