Program Coordinator
The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Orthopedics has an exciting opportunity for a full time Program Coordinator to work in Miami, FL. The Program Coordinator coordinates day-to-day operations of the program. Moreover, the incumbent assists with the development, organization, production, and evaluation of the program to achieve its mission, goals, and objectives. An employee in this position demonstrates familiarity with University policies and procedures and ensures program compliance.

Core Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent/relevant experience, certification or license. Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required.
Department Specific Functions
The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery has established a program for collecting general health and disease specific questionnaires from its patients. The Program Coordinator would be responsible for monitoring participation across multiple clinics and working with clinic staff and faculty to maximize patient participation. The coordinator will work with IT staff and software vendor to troubleshoot system failures and enroll new providers. There is an opportunity to participate with residents and faculty in database research. This is a good opportunity for college graduates interested in pursuing a career in medicine, but who are not yet ready to apply for an advanced degree.
Role
Coordinate and supervise collection of Patient Reported Outcome Instruments (questionnaires) across department. When needed, assist in contacting patients to increase participation.
Supervise submission of data to national registries.
Assist faculty and residents in accessing data for quality assessment and improvement projects, as well as research projects. Meet with division representatives to assess needs, report performance, and develop strategies to improve performance. Meet weekly with Dr. Lebwohl, or other faculty supervisor to review status of project.
Metrics
Percent patient participation at initial contact and at predetermined follow up intervals.
Successful submission of Registry data.
