Program Coordinator, OSD

OSD works to support networks, schools, and families with all issues related to special education including instruction, interventions, and legal and compliance support. Job Summary: Reporting to the Business Operations Administrator, the Program Coordinator will be responsible for developing program project plans in OSD by managing lifecycles of each project from beginning to end that includes tracking, analyzing project performance metrics, strategies to support and meeting performance benchmarks according to timelines. This is a full-time, exempt position that will be paid for time worked on a salary basis. The Program Coordinator will be held accountable for the following responsibilities:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to deliver high quality projects in a fast paced environment Ability to work independently with little or no supervision Knowledge of IDEA, ADA, and other relevant policies and procedures Expertise in managing multiple projects Strong project management skills Strong collaborative skills (including - working with multiple teams) Strong communication skills (speaking - including presentations - listening, and writing) Ability to identify risks and opportunities Strong knowledge of project management tools and resources

Conditions of Employment As a condition of employment with the Chicago Public Schools (CPS), employees are required to: Establish/Maintain Chicago Residency - Employees are required to live within the geographic boundaries of the City of Chicago within six months of their CPS hire date and maintain residency throughout their employment with the district. The Chicago residency requirement does not apply to temporary/part-time positions, however, all CPS employees must be residents of Illinois.
