This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 3, 2026. Alkimos Primary School opened in February 2016 and caters for around 700 students from Kindergarten to Year 6. The school continues to develop a highly engaging and dynamic learning environment, where building relationships between students and community is key. The school hosts a Specialised Learning Program (SLP) for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), supporting the individual needs of students from Kindergarten to Year 6 who are at risk of disengagement, underachievement and/or have significant difficulties with adaptive behaviours. It is an intervention pathway to mainstream schooling.
The Role
Program Coordinator – Specialised Learning Program (SLP) Autism. This role is dedicated to supporting the holistic development of autistic students with ASD, enabling them to achieve their full potential. The SLP provides individualised, neurodiversity‑affirming support designed to engage students in their learning, enhance academic achievement, and foster the development of essential adaptive skills.
