About the roleWe are looking for an Advanced Program Designer / Developer to join an international IT environment in Brussels.
You will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, designing and developing application components, implementing changes, and ensuring the quality and maintainability of software solutions.
The role combines technical analysis, Java development, API integration, testing and application maintenance, working closely with technical and business teams.
What you'll do- Analyze business requirements and contribute to the definition of technical specifications.
- Perform detailed technical analysis and translate requirements into software solutions.
- Design, develop and integrate Java application components.
- Develop and integrate APIs and application services.
- Configure and adapt application software components according to business requirements.
- Develop prototypes and reusable software components where required.
- Design and execute unit and integration test cases.
- Identify, troubleshoot and resolve application defects and technical issues.
- Deliver corrective and evolutionary maintenance.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of application components and development practices.
- Collaborate closely with developers, technical teams and business stakeholders.
- 5+ years of professional experience in Java development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java in enterprise application environments.
- 3–5 years of experience with APIs and API integration.
- 3–5 years of experience with Microsoft Azure / Azure Cloud.
- Experience with software design, development, testing and application maintenance.
- Good understanding of application integration and reusable software components.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Experience with AWS.
- Experience with ERP or enterprise application packages.
- Experience with prototyping and technical solution design.
- Experience with CI/CD and modern software development practices.
- Experience in digital/technology transformation environments.
Brussels North, Belgium
The position is hybrid, with a mandatory minimum of 2 days per week onsite in Brussels North. The remaining working days can be performed remotely.
