Program Development Leader – Querétaro Forvia, a sustainable mobility technology leader, invites ambitious, driven, and team‑spirited professionals to join our team as a Program Development Leader in Querétaro. In this role you will drive product development projects, manage key customer relationships, and support our commitment to high‑quality, sustainable mobility solutions.
Responsibilities - Own the customer relationship at DRE/D&R level and provide high‑level customer representation.
- Lead Engineering PMS work packages and Customer Engineering milestones.
- Act as a core team member of APQP, supporting the Program Manager and Account Manager to ensure delivery of customer and internal deliverables.
- Prepare and present customer technical reviews and future business opportunities.
- Ensure the engineering bill of materials (EBOM) meets QCD targets throughout product development and launch processes.
- Support customer program meetings and coordinate with UAD to ensure all technical requirements are understood and delivered.
- Lead the development of specific APQP documents and manage risk using DFMEA and DVP&R.
- Provide prototype build support on‑site as needed and coordinate physical testing requirements.
- Report technical progress and design issues through written reports.
- Ensure product design meets SOW requirements and review customer warranty issues to inform future solutions.
- Support IP, warranty, and VAVE activities, and execute internal and customer change management.
- Provide launch support at customer and internal plants as required.
Qualifications - Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the automotive industry.
- Cross‑functional management skills and proven customer‑relationship experience.
- Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork capabilities.
- Experience in engineering project management and risk assessment tools (e.g., DFMEA, DVP&R).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; global mindset required.
- Minimum language skill: English.
