Program Manager of Electrical Technologies
Qualification requirements which the Program Manager must possess:
1. Education and/or certification:
- Vocational certification for Electrical Technologies or meet qualifications for annual authorization
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate
- Journeyman or Electrical Masters License
2. Experience:
- At least 4000 hours of experience within the last ten years in residential and/or industrial electrical work.
Essential Functions:
1. Mental Tasks:
- Ability to understand written and oral instructions.
- Ability to demonstrate appropriate verbal and written communication in the supervision and teaching of students.
2. Physical Tasks:
- Ability to drive to and from electrical worksites.
- Ability to lift, move, and manipulate electro/mechanical materials, equipment, and supplies on the job site.
- Ability to climb ladders.
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and kneel.
- Ability to assist students with electrical skills.
3. Equipment:
- Utilize electrical equipment such as programmable logic controllers, motor controls, pneumatics, meters, etc.
- Ability to drive a forklift.
- Utilize office equipment such as telephones, computers, printers, copiers, VCR's, and other basic classroom and school equipment.
