Principal Program Manager Embedded Aerospace Systems
This position will begin as a 9-month contract, with strong potential for long-term employment. While the contract is initially set for 9 months, there is no fixed end date, and extensions beyond the initial term are possible. Conversion to a direct hire role may occur as early as 3 months, depending on individual performance and business needs. Although direct hire is not guaranteed, it is a common outcome for high-performing team members, and most contractors in this role do transition to permanent positions over time.
This role is with a major defense contractor and requires candidates to be Secret Eligible. While an active Secret clearance is not required, it is preferred. Candidates must be US citizens per the clearance requirement (no exceptions). Offers may be contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screen (including testing for cannabis).

Overtime is paid at 1.5x the regular hourly rate for any hours worked over 40 in a week. When converted to direct hire, you will be eligible for a significantly expanded PTO package.
Available (medical, dental, 401k, vision, etc) benefit eligibility begins 1st of the month after 30 days of employment. PTO Availability depends on the pay/time-off option selected. PTO is accrued over time.
HRU Technical Resources has partnered with a leading provider of secure, mission-critical technologies for aerospace and defense. We are seeking to hire a Principal Program Manager who will be overseeing projects related to Embedded Aerospace Systems (mostly satellites and related components). In this role, you will be responsible for the performance of one or multiple programs (family of programs), with an emphasis on new development efforts and/or production programs. This role requires a broad understanding of all aspects of a program, from ideation to production as well as in-service support.
Customer-facing, you will have great business acumen, making judicious decisions to achieve customer satisfaction while successfully executing your programs on time, on schedule, and on budget. In this role you will lead highly diverse cross functional teams composed of contracts, program planning, finance, operations, and engineering, to develop next-generation high-performance embedded processing solutions.
You will be a part of a world-class team in our Processing Technologies Business Unit, a leading provider of dense, rugged, secure compute solutions for next generation aerospace and defense applications. You will support programs across our Compute Line of Business, where we design, develop, and produce embedded computers, networking appliances, storage solutions, and integration processing subsystems. This is a 1st (day) shift position following a 9/80 schedule. Employees typically work 9 hour days from 8:30AM to 6:00PM, Monday through Thursday, and a six-hour day on alternating Fridays. Every other Friday is a scheduled day off. There may be occasional overtime which would be compensated at 1.5 times the regular hourly rate. This will be a hybrid role (generally 3 days on site, 2 days work from home). Offer may be contingent upon passing a background check and a drug screen (drug screen would include Cannabis because this role works for a defense contractor).
