Senior Program Manager / EPMO:
Top Priority Profile: Someone who has actually built, scaled, or led a PMO.
Required:
- Strong PMO leadership experience, not just project execution
- Experience establishing governance, methodologies, standards, reporting, and operating rhythms
- Ability to drive portfolio, program, and project management across the organization
- Strong resource planning, budgeting, prioritization, and executive reporting skills
- Experience with both Agile and Waterfall environments
- Comfortable managing scope, timelines, costs, risks, and change management initiatives
Nice-to-Haves:
- Data center industry experience
- Experience creating PMO frameworks from the ground up
- Director-level PMO background
Key takeaway:
This is not a traditional Program Manager role. The hiring manager wants someone who can bring structure and maturity to the organization and help establish PMO best practices. A strong Director of PMO candidate may even justify creating a higher-level position. The emphasis is on PMO leadership and operational governance over industry-specific knowledge.
