Position Summary:
The School of Population and Global Health brings together investigators from diverse disciplinary backgrounds who develop new quantitative, qualitative and interdisciplinary methods for the study of the determinants of health and of the impact of public health and clinical interventions on the health and well-being of populations worldwide.
As one of three departments in the School of Population and Global Health, the Department of Global and Public Health aims to address health inequities and advance public health — locally, nationally, and globally — through action-oriented research, interdisciplinary training and experiential learning, allyship, and equitable partnerships.
The Department houses two new initiatives, the Nkabom Nutrition and Sustainable Agri-Food Collaborative and the Pandemic and Emergency Readiness Lab who are respectively moving to assemble interdisciplinary and intersectoral expertise, breaking down silos and co-creating platforms to promote novel research and education within global health and medical communities.
Reporting to the Director of Administration of the School of Population and Global Health (SPGH), and in support of PERL and the SPGH Nkabom Academic Lead, the position works closely with faculty members, trainees, partner institutions, and McGill administrative units. This is a highly collaborative role requiring strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities across two complementary programs.

Facilitate visits, exchanges, and collaborative activities between McGill and partner institutions, including international partners
Maintain event timelines, budgets, and post-event documentation

Oversee recruitment, enrollment, onboarding, and ongoing organization of trainees, visiting scholars, and postdoctoral fellows
Facilitate equitable and transparent selection processes for trainees and academic opportunities
Monitor Postdoctoral Fellows in training at SPGH and other Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences and McGill academic units and support the identification and support of faculty supervisors for Postdoctoral Fellows across these units, as required
Communications & Reporting Management
Manage program communications across both initiatives, including updates, outreach materials, and dissemination of program activities and achievements
Oversee external communications such as newsletters, websites, and social media content
Contribute to the development of narrative and administrative reports required by funders and internal stakeholders
Support monitoring and evaluation activities by tracking outputs, outcomes, and program data
Administrative Support
Provide administrative and operational support for PERL & Nkabom program activities, including scheduling program meetings, preparing agendas and briefing materials, and tracking follow-up actions to support program delivery.
Manage travel arrangements for leadership and visiting collaborators and partner institutions, expense reports, procurement requests, and reimbursements in compliance with McGill policies
Draft and support the development of correspondence, presentations, reports, and documents for internal and external audiences, including philanthropic partners and academic stakeholders
Lead the onboarding of new team members and maintain organized internal filing systems and shared workspaces
