Program Manager
The primary responsibility for the Program Manager will be supporting early feasibility investigations, definitions, and project or program implementation. This position will report to the Assistant Director of Business Development. The successful candidate will work directly with customers and Dynacraft support groups such as Supplier Quality, Operations, Materials, Engineering, Master Data, and IT to meet Dynacraft customer expectations.
Job Functions / Responsibilities:
- Work closely with customers from concept to implementation on new or changing project requirements, ensuring coordination with multiple departments and stakeholders.
- Build effective relationships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including Dynacraft and Truck Division engineering teams, PACCAR Purchasing, External Suppliers and Truck Division Operations to ensure project success.
- Develop and support execution of project plans to meet objectives.
- Manage diverse, cross functional teams spanning multiple business functions and geographic locations in the execution of project activities.
- Proactively coordinate change in project scope, identify and escalate potential crises, and create/manage contingency plans.
- Communicate project status and issues to senior management and other stakeholders through reports and presentations as requested.
- Develop best practices, tools and documentation for project execution and coordination.
- Investigate and analyze new product or supply chain opportunities to drive Dynacraft growth through reducing PACCAR total cost.
- Support to identify and define equipment, labor and processes for new business including financial justification, capital and labor requirements, freight, and operational costs.
- Assist development of business cases including financial justification for new business opportunities.
- Support development of EEAs and coordinate project capital expenses to meet project objectives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years' Product and/or Program Management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Self-motivated leader, with the ability to handle multiple tasks with varying schedules, shifting priorities, and ambiguity
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, relationship-building, and written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical and detail-oriented
- Six Sigma training desired
- SAP and Capital Budget experience a plus
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is desired
- Creative problem solver with strong application of process improvement methodologies
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project or Smartsheet strongly desired
Education:
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Engineering or Business Administration.
- Master's degree in Engineering or Business Administration preferred.
- Current PMP certification is required within 12 months of hire date.
