Program Manager

The American Indian College Fund is dedicated to transforming lives and communities by increasing access to higher education for Native students. Empowering almost 7,000 Native students annually, the organization supports not only scholarships but also funding for tribally controlled colleges and cultural preservation activities. The College Fund is looking for a talented Program Manager who will support projects managed out of the President's Office.

The position will work directly with the Chief Strategy Officer and will coordinate convenings, manage communications with external constituents such as Tribal College Presidents and TCU Governing Boards, operate as a project manager and coordinate with external consultants. The position will support report and presentation editing and formatting, manage travel, and execute other administrative functions, including note taking and summarization, and expense processing. The position requires occasional travel.

The Executive Leadership team leads work aligned with the President & CEO's vision and the College Fund's strategic plan. The projects and programming led by this team have a direct impact on the strength and sustainability of tribal colleges and universities.

What you'll do:

  • Support budget and timeline management
  • Manage constituent communications
  • Coordinate consultants and advisory committees
  • Manage report process coordination, formatting and editing

Convening and Meeting Management:

  • Select event location and manage contract and vendor partner relations
  • Coordinate all on-site logistics
  • Manage communications with attendees and support travel arrangements
  • Identify and coordinate presenters
  • Manage all logistics for virtual meetings and webinars

Administrative:

  • Summarize meeting notes
  • Process expenses for payment
  • Maintain project management tool
  • Coordinate travel arrangements

What you bring:

  • 4+ years project, program and administrative management
  • Experience with convening or event management
  • Demonstrated ability as a self-starter with strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to respectfully communicate and work within a diverse environment
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Professional skills in AI and project management software

It's a bonus if you also have:

  • Personal and/or professional lived experience in or working with Indigenous communities and/or Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCU)
  • Experience working with Governing Boards, higher education
