Job Description
You have experience in supply chain management, program, project and/or product management, preferably having worked in the aerospace or manufacturing sector, and you want to grow and develop new skills? This position is for you! The A220 commercial aircraft program is looking for a Satair A220 Program Manager to join our Satair A220 Program Management team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada), where you will work closely with the diverse A220 teams in Mirabel and Satair. You will be part of the Satair A220 Program Management team working on several cross-cutting projects in line with our ambitious strategy. Thanks to the diversity of personalities on our team, we are ready to tackle all challenges, whether detailed or high-level strategies. As Satair A220 Program Manager, your role will be to implement cross-functional initiatives to create new levels of support that our customers will appreciate.
Key responsibilities
- Identify process gaps related to the A220 compared with existing programs, assess different working methods requiring specific processes or roles, and initiate improvement workshops.
- Lead cross-functional projects/works to evolve the A220 activity. These projects require energy and leadership qualities to work across the organization.
- Own your projects/works, mastering the defined and associated key performance indicators.
- Ensure visibility of the roadmap and expected improvements for your projects/works and the overall program to stakeholders.
- Be responsible for profits and net margin for processes, products, policy-related issues and costs according to the defined path and for the overall program.
- Help adapt working methods to fleet development/footprint, prepare cost-benefit analyses and relevant projects to prepare for the future.
- Work closely with commercial directors, support directors and internal customers to strengthen client confidence in Airbus's commitment to support the A220 program.
Requirements
- You hold a university degree in economics, business administration, marketing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; a master's degree is an asset.
- You have a minimum of ten (10) years' experience in program, project or product management within an industrial multinational (preferably aerospace).
- You can manage a wide variety of assignments, particularly in transition and improvement phases, while being empathetic and enjoying helping others.
- You possess high-level analytical skills and use them to maintain an overview and think outside the box.
- The ideal person is creative and strategic, yet precise and pragmatic in implementation.
- You have a consultant mindset and can identify process gaps and propose workarounds.
- You enjoy implementing new solutions to complex problems involving many stakeholders.
- You can build strong, trust-based relationships and manage expectations.
- You value listening as much as the ability to provide clear explanations and resolve potential issues.
- You are delivery-, customer- and technically-oriented, and comfortable working autonomously while fostering strong internal and external collaboration.
- You have excellent commercial skills and strong business acumen — three (3) to five (5) years of commercial experience. An understanding of financial projections and achieving financial targets is required.
- You are not afraid to negotiate, present, influence or drive change.
- You preferably have a solid understanding of the aviation aftermarket supply chain or similar industries — three (3) to five (5) years' experience.
- You also have experience with agile working methods.
- You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and French, and experience with cross-functional collaboration.
