INSEAD is seeking a Events Manager (internal title: Programme Manager) to join our Executive Education department. This is a full-time, temporary position based at our Europe Campus in Fontainebleau, France.

A hybrid working model is in place – 3 days on campus, 2 days from home.

About the job

The Programme Manager plays a prominent role in EDP, involving extensive interaction with external corporate clients, participants, faculty, internal teams, and external stakeholders in a dynamic, customer-centric environment. Their responsibilities revolve around ensuring the smooth logistical coordination for all EDP programmes, whether conducted on-campus, virtually, or off-campus. This encompasses managing tasks with strict deadlines before, during, and after each programme.

Your role within the team

  • Client Relationship Management: The Programme Manager acts as primary contact to help develop the programme logistics / specificities leading to greater client satisfaction and subsequent additional revenues from the same client
  • Faculty Engagement Management: Engage closely with the faculty team, to finalise the programme schedule, consolidating all pedagogical and teaching requirements
  • Logistics: Ensure smooth programme delivery by taking in charge the entire logistics of in-person events and live virtual programme delivery
  • Budget Responsibilities: The jobholder holds financial responsibilities by monitoring and respecting the assigned budget
  • Communication and Feed-back: Actively listening to and analysing participant and/or company contacts’ feedback on programme progress and content and relaying important information to programme directors, and EDP management
  • Knowledge Management: To ensure that all programmes consistently meet INSEAD’s standards, the jobholder must demonstrate a willingness to share valuable insights and information relevant to the specific programme

The ideal candidate profile

  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Fluency in English and French with excellent written and oral communication skills (additional languages are an asset)
  • Strong interpersonal communication with a diplomatic approach to diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Excellent planning and organizing skills, with the ability to anticipate needs and take initiative within set time frames
  • Comfort and flexibility in a challenging and ever-changing environment
  • Self-motivation and autonomy while being a collaborative team player
  • Ability to work under pressure and set priorities effectively
  • Proactivity in demonstrating creative, innovative, and service-oriented problem-solving approaches
  • Proficiency in IT tools, particularly within the Microsoft suite
  • Availability for international travel as needed
