About the role

We are looking for an experienced analytical and risk professional who can turn complex data into meaningful insight and help shape how SYMCA monitors, manages and delivers its investment portfolio.

As Programme Performance Analyst, you will provide specialist expertise in portfolio performance analysis, reporting and risk management across a diverse portfolio of investment programmes and projects. You will lead the development of analytical approaches, performance reporting, dashboards and management information that strengthen programme controls and support informed decision-making.

Using data to identify trends, emerging risks and opportunities, you will provide evidence based insight, challenge and recommendations that improve delivery performance and increase confidence in organisational data. You will also lead the development of risk intelligence and early-warning reporting, helping senior leaders and governance boards understand portfolio health and respond proactively to emerging issues.

Working collaboratively with programme teams, you will drive improvements in data quality, risk governance, reporting standards and performance management practices. Your work will directly influence decision-makers across the organisation, helping to ensure investment programmes are effectively controlled, resources are used efficiently and intended outcomes are successfully delivered.

About you

You will be an analytical and forward-thinking professional with experience in performance reporting, programme controls, risk management and data analysis. You will be confident working with complex information and using data, insight and risk intelligence to identify emerging issues, challenge assumptions and support informed decision-making.

You will have a track record of developing reporting solutions, performance measures and analytical products that provide meaningful insight into performance and risk. Beyond analysing information, you will be motivated by using your findings to drive improvement, influence outcomes, and support effective decision-making across programmes and portfolios.

A proactive and solutions-focused individual, you will be comfortable leading improvements to reporting, performance management and risk management practices. You will be someone who looks beyond existing processes, identifying opportunities to streamline approaches, enhance data quality and embed more effective ways of working.

You will also be an effective communicator, capable of translating complex information into clear and compelling messages for a range of audiences. Working collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels, you will build trusted relationships, provide constructive challenge and help foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Experience using Power BI to develop dashboards, together with experience of programme delivery or governance in a public sector or investment-focused environment, would be advantageous.

If you are passionate about using data analysis and risk intelligence to improve performance, influence decision-making and help deliver successful investment outcomes, we'd love to hear from you.
