To support its growing operations and enhance the efficiency of its internal systems, the business is seeking a skilled and experienced Programmer Developer.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, improving, and maintaining internal software systems that support the company’s day-to-day operations. The role will focus on streamlining business processes, improving job scheduling and workflow management, reducing manual administrative tasks, and enabling the efficient coordination and delivery of services.
By implementing reliable and fit-for-purpose technology solutions, the Programmer Developer will play an important role in improving operational efficiency, supporting business growth, and ensuring that jobs and associated processes are managed accurately and seamlessly.
Position Summary
The Programmer Developer is responsible for analyzing system requirements, designing and developing software solutions, and maintaining high-quality program code that meets organizational objectives. The role involves evaluating existing systems, identifying technical limitations, and implementing improvements to ensure applications operate securely, efficiently, and reliably. The Programmer Developer also provides technical guidance, documentation, and input into strategic software development initiatives and technology investment decisions.
Key Responsibilities
• Research, consult, analyze and evaluate system program needs.
• Identify technology limitations and deficiencies in existing systems, processes, procedures, and methods.
• Write, develop and maintain program code in accordance with system requirements, system designs, and accredited quality standards.
• Test, debug, diagnose and correct errors and faults in application code following established testing protocols, guidelines and quality standards.
• Perform unit, integration and system testing to ensure programs and applications perform specifications.
• Update, write and maintain technical documentation, including program specifications, operational procedures, and end-user documentation.
• Maintain detailed records of development activities, version control, and change management.
• Provide advice, guidance, and expertise in developing software design proposals and strategies.
• Contribute to financial evaluations, costings and feasibility assessments for software purchases, upgrades and development initiatives.
• Support stakeholders in identifying appropriate technologies aligned with organisational needs and IT strategy.
Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Professional experience in software development, programming, and system analysis.
• One year of experience in similar role.
Salary - $79,000 - $85,000 plus super
