Working closely with the Director of Early Childhood and leadership team, this position plays an important role in coordinating schoolwide programming and supporting the day-to-day operations of our busy, year-round preschool.

Key Responsibilities

·        Coordinate schoolwide programs, special events, Jewish holiday celebrations, family programs, in-school field trips, child screenings, and summer special activities.

·        Manage event logistics from planning through implementation, including scheduling, registration, vendors, purchasing, food, facilities, setup, and communications.

·        Coordinate school purchasing, orders, vendors, invoices, supplies, and equipment.

·        Support daily staffing and classroom coverage, school opening, front-office operations, and arrival/dismissal procedures.

·        Serve as a liaison with facilities, maintenance, and security teams and coordinate work orders, room setups, and operational needs.

·        Support school safety, security, licensing, and emergency procedures.

·        Provide functional supervision and coordination for designated administrative support staff.

·        Serve as the administrative liaison to the NCECE Parent Organization and support the coordination of its programs and events.

·        Collaborate closely with NCECE leadership, teachers, clergy, CBI departments, families, vendors, and community partners.

·        Proactively identify operational needs, solve problems, and help develop systems that support an efficient and well-run school.

Qualifications

·        Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.

·        Experience in program coordination, school operations, event planning, early childhood education, nonprofit administration, office management, or a related area preferred.

·        Exceptional organizational, project-management, and problem-solving skills.

·        Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

·        Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.

·        Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, dependability, and follow-through.

·        Strong technology skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.

·        Experience with purchasing, vendor coordination, budgeting, or functional supervision is a plus.

·        Knowledge of early childhood education or Jewish communal organizations is a plus.

The Ideal Candidate

You are an organized, resourceful, hands-on professional who enjoys making things happen. You can move comfortably between planning a special event, coordinating vendors, solving an unexpected operational challenge, and supporting the daily needs of a busy school.
