  • Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix environments .
  • Experience using PuTTY and remote server administration tools.
  • Experience developing and maintaining Shell Scripts .
  • Knowledge of file transfer mechanisms:
  • SFTP
  • FTP
  • SCP
  • Command-line file transfers
  • Database query and troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience supporting mission-critical business applications.

Preferred
  • Development experience with Java .
  • Knowledge of REST/SOAP integrations.
  • Familiarity with Git or other version control tools.
  • Experience in Banking or Financial Services environments.
  • Understanding of ITIL processes and Production Support practices.

Required Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in Progress/OpenEdge development and support.
  • Experience supporting enterprise applications in Production environments.
  • Experience working in Linux-based environments.
  • Experience with batch scheduling and automation tools.
  • Experience investigating and resolving application incidents.
