Senior Project Developer – Data Centers & Renewables
Location: Milan, Italy
Responsibilities
- Identify and secure sites for data center projects, either greenfield or through co-development with partners.
- Lead grid connection applications and work with utilities to secure capacity.
- Structure and negotiate PPAs and other power supply agreements to ensure projects are supported by long-term renewable energy.
- Manage permitting processes and ensure compliance with local and national regulations.
- Coordinate technical, legal, and financial inputs to build robust business cases and present to investment committees.
- Negotiate development agreements, EPC and O&M contracts where required.
- Work closely with internal engineering, procurement, and finance teams as well as external stakeholders including investors, network operators, and local authorities.
Requirements
- Proven track record in project development within data centers, renewable energy, or large-scale infrastructure.
- Experience leading projects through early-stage development, permitting, grid connection and PPA negotiation.
- Strong commercial and financial understanding of development economics.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally and managing multiple stakeholders.
- Fluent Italian and English; other European languages are a plus.
- Willingness to travel within Italy and occasionally across Europe.
