OverviewThe EHS Coordinator advises departments on occupational health and safety in compliance with Mexican Official Standards (NOM).
This role ensures workplace safety through audits, training, risk assessments, and program implementation.
It also supports environmental compliance, hazardous materials management, and continuous improvement of EHS systems and culture.ResponsibilitiesAdvise departments on NOM compliance and occupational health and safety standardsEvaluate workplace conditions and manage HSE indicators and corrective actionsCoordinate safety trainings, awareness campaigns, and emergency drillsConduct internal/external audits and ensure corrective actions are implementedManage hazardous materials transport and industrial waste complianceSupport environmental licensing and documentationAdminister local EHS systems and publish performance metricsParticipate in incident investigations and safety committee meetingsLead EHS onboarding and define technical competencies and training programsCollaborate with LATAM EHS teams and support regional audits and initiativesBachelor's degree in Occupational Safety Engineering, Environmental, Chemical, or Industrial EngineeringOver 5 years of experience in the construction industry (chemical industry experience is a plus)Knowledge of Mexican Official Standards (NOM) and ISO *Familiarity with OSHA construction standardsLegal authorization to work in MexicoPreferred RequirementsAdvanced English proficiencyCertifications in EHS (e.g., STPS, ISO Lead Auditor)Experience in contractor management and large-scale project environmentsStrong communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skillsSeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionManagementManufacturingIndustriesChemical ManufacturingConstruction
