Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and supervise all MEP construction activities from mobilization through project completion.
Review design drawings, specifications, and shop drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements and identify potential construction issues.
Coordinate MEP works with civil, structural, architectural, and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth project execution and eliminate interface conflicts.
Monitor construction progress against approved schedules and implement corrective actions to mitigate delays.
Review subcontractor work programs, manpower deployment, and resource planning to ensure timely project delivery.
Manage and supervise MEP subcontractors, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, project specifications, and company standards.
Conduct regular site inspections to verify workmanship, installation quality, and compliance with approved methods and safety requirements.
Ensure all MEP works comply with applicable Dubai authority regulations, approval requirements, inspections, and testing procedures.
Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover activities with consultants, authorities, and clients.
Review RFIs, material submittals, method statements, and technical documentation to support project execution.
Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, highlighting project status, risks, and mitigation plans.
Identify technical and commercial risks and work proactively with project stakeholders to resolve issues.
Ensure strict adherence to quality assurance, quality control, health, safety, and environmental requirements.
Support value engineering initiatives and identify opportunities for cost optimization without compromising quality or performance.
Assist in project closeout activities, including as-built documentation, O&M manuals, snagging, and final handover.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
Minimum 8–12 years of MEP construction experience, with at least 5 years managing large-scale residential, commercial, hospitality, or mixed-use developments in the UAE.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, electrical, ELV, and building services systems.
Thorough understanding of Dubai authority requirements, testing and commissioning procedures, and statutory approvals.
Experience managing MEP subcontractors and coordinating multidisciplinary construction teams.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Primavera P6, and project management software.
Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Strong project planning and execution capabilities.
