Teal Energi is partnered with a growing industrial manufacturer that is seeking a Project Engineering Coordinator to support capital projects, process improvements, and plant expansion initiatives. This role is responsible for coordinating engineering activities from initial concept through implementation, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and within established budgets and timelines. The Project Engineering Coordinator partners with operations, maintenance, production, and cross-functional teams to execute projects that enhance manufacturing capabilities, improve equipment performance, and support future growth objectives.
Job Duties:
Project Coordination & Execution
- Coordinate and manage engineering projects from planning through startup and completion.
- Support facility expansion, process optimization, and equipment upgrade initiatives.
- Develop project scopes, technical specifications, engineering packages, and process documentation.
- Track project schedules, budgets, milestones, and deliverables to ensure successful execution.
- Assist with the implementation of new products, processes, and production capabilities.
Engineering & Technical Support
- Review engineering drawings, design documents, calculations, and vendor-supplied technical information.
- Provide technical coordination between internal teams and external contractors.
- Support equipment and process improvement initiatives that enhance manufacturing performance.
- Identify opportunities to improve asset reliability, operational efficiency, and overall plant performance.
Safety, Compliance & Quality
- Participate in risk assessments, safety reviews, and change management processes related to plant modifications.
- Ensure all projects and designs comply with applicable safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Promote a strong culture of workplace safety and operational excellence throughout project execution.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, production, engineering, and other cross-functional teams.
- Build productive working relationships with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Communicate project status, priorities, and deliverables effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Support conflict resolution and stakeholder alignment to drive project success.
Job Requirements:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related engineering discipline preferred.
Experience
- Approximately 4+ years of engineering experience within a manufacturing, industrial, or process-driven environment.
- Experience supporting capital projects and engineering project execution within a plant or manufacturing setting.
- Experience working with engineering drawings, equipment specifications, and process documentation.
Technical Knowledge & Skills
- Working knowledge of project management principles and capital project execution practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and CAD software.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
