Project Manager

Primarily Remote (Occasional on-site visits to Las Vegas, NV) Contract Term: Initial 1-year contract with up to 3 one-year renewals Work Hours: Monday Friday, 7:00 AM 4:00 PM PST Schedule: 40 hours / week, 48 weeks / year

Mostly remote work, with occasional in-person presence required at CCSD sites in Las Vegas, NV. Must be available during Pacific Standard Time business hours.

We're seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead and coordinate multiple concurrent IT and infrastructure projects, ranging from classroom technology implementations to district-wide enterprise systems. The Project Manager will ensure successful delivery through effective planning, budgeting, resource coordination, and stakeholder communication, in alignment with CCSD's goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and manage project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Develop detailed project plans and schedules with realistic milestones.
  • Predict and manage project resources and budgets effectively.
  • Track and report progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with departments, vendors, and agencies.
  • Manage supplier contracts and deliverables.
  • Ensure project documentation is complete and up to date.
  • Design and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct project evaluations and lessons learned.
  • Promote process improvements and standardization using industry best practices.
  • Support enterprise projects including:
    • Oracle PeopleSoft/SAP implementations
    • Network infrastructure upgrades
    • Cybersecurity and identity access management
    • Digital 1:1 learning initiatives

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in project management roles.
  • Direct experience managing large-scale enterprise software implementations (e.g., Oracle PeopleSoft, SAP).
  • Proven expertise in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and working with executive stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in project management tools and collaboration platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP Certification (Project Management Professional)
  • Experience with public K12, higher education, or educational entities
  • Familiarity with educational data systems and project lifecycles in academic environments
