Project Manager - Software Implementation Project
Hybrid Working - (2 - 3 Days in Office Per Week)
Project - Rollout and Implementation of a new Software System across all departments within a leading University
Duration - 9 Months
Hourly Rate - £46 - £55 Per Hour (PAYE)
Start Date - September
Job Purpose:
The role will be responsible for the project planning and delivery of a new SAP Ariba Procurement System for up to 3500 users across a large university campus.
The position will assume delegated responsibility for the management and ultimate delivery of SAP Ariba project and lower level workstreams, within defined cost, time and quality parameters. The role must ensure the project is managed within current financial procedures.
To lead multidisciplinary teams responsible for the feasibility assessment, design and implementation of the project, whilst providing supervision and contract management of external suppliers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
PERSON SPECIFICATION
• A related degree or equivalent professional qualification
• Significant experience of project delivery in a ‘client side’ lead project management position is essential.
• The post holder will have a working knowledge of the delivery of projects within medium to large sized complex multi departmental enterprises. Ideally within a Higher Education Environment
• The post holder will be expected to have a high degree of competency in: The use of project / delivery tools, procedures and administration - Procurement and project management experience - Strong Stakeholder Management and liaison skills - Cost management.
• The role requires exceptional organisational skills and the ability to coordinate actions across multiple different team members, whilst keeping to project timescales.
• Have exposure in the delivery Software / Systems / Technology projects.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, with the ability to explain/present complex information. Develop internal and external relations, motivate, develop and encourage performance in others and the ability to negotiate and persuade at a high level.
• The ability to form strong working relationships with the Finance / Project team and with stakeholders.
• Willingness to work flexibly, as and when required
