Sr. Project/Program Managers

Our client, a telecommunications company located in Stamford, CT, is in need of two Senior Project/Program Managers for an initial 12 month contract with high likelihood of extension. The Project/Program Managers will work onsite four days per week, one day remote, as part of a highly visible position tied to a large-scale merger initiative.

The Project/Program Managers will manage the full project lifecycle from requirements gathering and work sessions through development, implementation, and operational readiness for Day 1, Day 90, and other key merger-related milestones. These individuals will be accountable for driving project plans, managing dependencies, tracking milestones, and ensuring alignment to scope, cost, schedule, and quality measures.

Responsibilities include developing and maintaining detailed project plans, establishing communication strategies with project teams and key stakeholders, facilitating cross-functional working sessions, providing day-to-day direction to project resources, and ensuring effective change management throughout the project. They will help ensure testing, training, communications, and other functions are accounted for throughout the integration process, including initiatives tied to WiFi, Internet, device swaps, and related customer readiness efforts. Additional responsibilities include identifying and tracking RAID items to closure, preparing documentation, maintaining status reports, creating executive-level PowerPoint decks, and supporting budget-related tracking and reporting.

Required Skills:

  • 10+ years of complex Project Management or Program Management experience within large enterprise environments
  • Proven ability to manage the full project lifecycle from project definition through implementation and operational readiness
  • Experience creating complex project plans with dependencies and driving milestones with limited leadership oversight
  • Demonstrated experience identifying RAID items and driving them to closure
  • Strong executive-level communication skills, particularly via email, PowerPoint, and status reporting
  • Experience facilitating meetings and leading cross-functional working sessions with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience supporting testing, training, communications, operational readiness, and change management workstreams
  • Proficiency with MS Project, Visio, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Preferred Skills:

  • Telecom or cable industry experience highly preferable
  • Experience supporting mergers, integrations, or large-scale transformation programs
  • Experience with WiFi, Internet, device swaps, or related customer readiness initiatives
  • PMP, PgMP, or similar certification

The posted range is an estimate; the actual compensation offer will be based on the candidate's experience, skills, qualifications, and will be aligned with internal equity.
