IDR is seeking a PTC Windchill Developer Java to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity. In this role, you will focus on hands-on development and customization within PTC Windchill, with an emphasis on frontend enhancements, application modernization, and addressing technical debt. This position supports a large, enterprise environment within an established industry organization.
Position Overview for the PTC Windchill Developer Java:
- Develop and customize PTC Windchill applications with a focus on delivering new functionality and enhancements.
- Build and maintain frontend components using Java, JSP, and XML configuration within Windchill.
- Contribute to technical debt reduction and modernization efforts to improve platform performance and usability.
- Support development and deployment processes leveraging tools like Jenkins, Linux, and AWS-based environments.
- Apply test-driven development practices and assist with occasional low-priority defect fixes as needed.
Requirements for the PTC Windchill Developer Java:
- 5+ years of relevant development experience with hands-on PTC Windchill development and customization
- Strong Java development skills, including Windchill-specific customization work
- Experience building Windchill frontend functionality using JSP and XML
- Working knowledge of Jenkins and development workflows in Linux environments
- Experience with cloud environments such as AWS and familiarity with test-driven development practices
