Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Python API Developer (Backend Engineer) to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Python, FastAPI or Flask, microservices, cloud platforms, SQL/NoSQL databases, and CI/CD pipelines. Experience working in Agile environments and the financial services domain is preferred.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs using Python.
• Build and enhance backend microservices for enterprise applications.
• Develop secure, high-performance, and reusable backend components.
• Integrate APIs with frontend applications and third-party services.
• Design and optimize relational and NoSQL database interactions.
• Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT).
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Participate in code reviews and enforce coding standards.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.
• Build and maintain Docker containers and Kubernetes deployments.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate with architects, frontend developers, QA engineers, and product owners in Agile teams.
• Create and maintain API documentation using Swagger/OpenAPI.

Required Qualifications

• 6 10 years of experience in backend software development.
• Strong expertise in Python and backend application development.
• Hands-on experience with FastAPI or Flask.
• Experience building REST APIs and microservices.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience working with Azure or AWS cloud services.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
