Job Description
We are seeking an Application Programmer III to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Python, MS SQL Server, and MongoDB, and a proven ability to modernize batch processes by translating legacy Perl code to Python and building reliable ETL frameworks. This role is hybrid with three days onsite per week.
Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and maintain Python batch jobs to replace existing Perl processes.
* Analyze and read Perl code to accurately translate logic into Python implementations.
* Develop and enhance ETL frameworks and data workflows.
* Collaborate with developers and operational partners to validate and refine functionality.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Extensive Python coding skills, including experience writing production batch jobs.
* Ability to read and understand Perl to support accurate translation to Python.
* Good communication skills for effective engagement with developers and operational partners.
* Proficiency with MS SQL Server and Transact-SQL.
Preferred Skills:
* Design and architecture experience for ETL framework development.
* Experience with MongoDB.
* Advanced experience with Microsoft Transact-SQL.
* Experience working in Agile methodologies with tools such as JIRA and Bitbucket.
